How fast can you really get to me?
Most jobs in greater LA and Ventura County are reached in 15-30 minutes during normal traffic conditions. Time of day, freeway conditions, and active call volume can extend that window during peak rush hour. Our dispatcher will give you an honest ETA up front and update you if anything changes.
What does a typical lockout cost?
Standard lockouts in LA are quoted by our dispatcher when you call. Final pricing depends on time of day, distance, and lock type. Once our technician is on site and inspects the lock, you get a written quote — and you don't pay anything until you sign off. We don't quote one number on the phone and a different one on site.
Do you charge a service fee just to come out?
No 'come out and look' fee on most jobs in LA and Ventura. The price quoted is the price you pay. If a quote is dramatically lower than ours, it's almost always a bait-and-switch — keep that in mind when comparing.

What if I'm locked out at 2am?

Do you handle commercial properties?
Yes. We work with property managers, restaurants, retail, medical offices, dispensaries, and industrial properties throughout LA. Master key systems, panic bars, access control, file cabinet locks, and safe service all available.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. One & Only Locksmith is bonded and insured throughout California. Insurance certificates and license info are available on request.
Do you offer warranties?
Yes. We offer a workmanship warranty on every install. If something we put in fails because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it. Manufacturer warranties on hardware also pass through to you.
How do I know I'm not getting scammed?
A few simple checks: real local phone, real address, real reviews on multiple platforms, written quote on site before any work, and the technician identifying themselves and the company. Our team does all of those by default. If something feels off on any locksmith call, ask the technician for ID and the written quote — and don't authorize work until you have it.
Can you install smart locks and access control?
Yes. Smart locks (Schlage Encode, Yale Assure, August, Kwikset Halo, Level), commercial access control (card, fob, mobile credentials), keypad locks, and Bluetooth locks are all installed and serviced by our crews. We help you pick the right hardware and we install it correctly the first time.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, Credit Card, Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay. We email an itemized receipt the same day, useful for insurance claims, expense reports, or property management records.
